Cooper Knight Charlton (1993-2022)

The Support Network community was deeply saddened by the passing of Cooper Charlton in May 2022. Cooper was a co-founder of The Support Network and transformed countless lives through his dedication to student mental health. He was an uplifting and inspiring presence to so many. His legacy lives on in this organization.

While at the University of Michigan, Cooper co-founded Wolverine Support Network during his time as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). In his final year at school, Cooper was elected Student Body President and led the Wolverine Support Network as the Executive Director. Cooper was the 2016 recipient of UM Depression Center's Student Mental Health Advocate Award, and the 2016 James T. Neubacher Award, for advocacy on behalf of students with seen and unseen disabilities.

Cooper embodied the values of community and self-expression while bringing a practical focus on leadership development and financial longevity to The Support Network
